We start our trek in Tilcara, archaeological capital of La Quebrada de Humahuaca, at 2500 meters a.s.l. The departure hour is at 8:00 AM and after we carry the llamas with our bags and food, we follow a trail used by the pilgrims in Easter time. We arrive to Zanjas, our destination, at 12 PM. There we meet the Martinez family, members of the local community, with whom we share a typical local lunch. The country, located at 3000 meters a.s.l. has about 1500 ha. and we can find interesting features such as small cascades, colored mountains, prehispanic crop terraces and archeological sites. After lunch we can do mini treks to visit these places. At 3 PM we begin our return and we arrive to Tilcara at 5 PM

(Private tours cost %50 more than normal fee (also for a minimum of two guests))
It includes: Guide; full lunch with quality wine (picnic, vegetarian option available); water during the walk.
We recommend bringing hat, jacket, trekking shoes, extra pair of shoes, and sun block

We advise to book the tours with some anticipation to guarantee a place, and for that we ask an advance payment of half the cost of the trip through a bank deposit.
