The morning and midday sun paints and outlines the mountains of this wonderful Humahuaca area. Following ancient llama paths, we walk up the mountain, getting as high as 2800 meters a.s.l. The llamas carry everything necessary for lunch and snacks, as well as our belongings. We arrive to lonely and untouched spots surrounded by different landscapes. We have sights of the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Gorge) from the opposite side of the gorge. Our destination is the Abra de Pata Pampa, where we have lunch and enjoy a relaxing time. After lunch, we return to Tilcara with unique sights of Maimara´s Valley, Paleta del Pintor hill, Huichairas Ravine and Tilcara´s Pucara (Omahuacan-Incan fort, archeological place).
